Jennifer M. Carrillo-Perez concentrates her practice in the areas of land use, regulatory and government affairs, municipal law, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation.
In 2006, Ms. Carrillo-Perez was named to the Board of Directors of the Discovery Charter School in Newark, NJ, a non-profit organization committed to educational reform and student achievement.
In 2004-05, Ms. Carrillo-Perez served as the law clerk for the Honorable Claude M. Coleman, Judge of the Superior Court, Essex County, Civil Division.
From 2001 through 2004, Ms. Carrillo-Perez served as an Advisory Board Member for the Newark Board of Education. In that capacity, she recommended and voted on issues of finance, personnel, curriculum, facilities, and community programs concerning the school district of the City of Newark.
